Hercules is a bay horse, 8 years old, and stands 15^ hands high, combines the best of blood with good bone and immensa power, and has proved himself a good horse on the turf. At the Canterbury meeting iv 1876", won the Grandstand Handicap, 1 mile, in 1 rain. 50 sees., carrying 8 st. 2 lbs., beating 6 others. In the same year won the Hawkes Baj r Stakes, 2 miles, in 4 mins. 4i sees., beating Fishhook and the Maori Weed.
Hercules will travel on and after Ist October, calling at the undermentioned places : — Mondays — Leave Cambridge, calling at Ohaupo and Alexandra. From the above pedigree it will be seen- that owners of mares can get the very best combination of stout and fast blood to be obtained in the Southern hemisphere, vide the grand performances of the stock of the above sires — Dainty Ariel, Maribyrnong, and Yattendon. From thence to Hewitt's Hotel, Cambridge, and home Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There will be no business of any kind done on Sundays. Parties wishing to send mares can rply upon every attention being paid them, for which Is per week will be charged for grazing.
