MANGAPIKO HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Trustees of the above district was held on Saturday, November, 20th at 2 p. m. The minutes havin geen confirmed, correspondence of the month was discussed and Mr N. Buttles application granted. The Rangiaohia Board not ageing to settle the claim of £23 without the consent of ratepayers, it was decided to deputationise the next ratepayers meeting. The tenders were accepted ef 3. Conn for culvert at £2, and C McCallum for draining at 4.\d per cubic yard, the Secretary beinar ordered to write to the surveyor to start the contractors at once. The Board decided to invite tenders for earthern works at a culvert near Messrs. Jones and Gregory, and also for clearing* and filling up the road at Omsby's bush. After some little discussion the Board resolved to act as valuers as required by the Rating Act accounts amounting to £13 7s Od were paid and, the meeting 1 rose,
