WESLEY AN BAZAAR.

A Bazaar was opened in, the Public Hal, Cambridge, on Monday last, in aid of the funds for the liquidation of the Waikato Wesleyan circuit. Mr J. B. Whyte, M.H.R., who had been invited to formally open the bazaar was unavoidably prevented for attending and doing so, and his place was ably taken by Mr. James Gane, Senior: Circuit Steward, who made a short speech and read the opening ad-dre-s. The Hall was tastefully decorated, .and the stalls presented an inviting appearance. The stalls were presided over as follows :—: — No. 1 Stall : Miss Browne, with Mesdames Houghton and R. Reynolds, Misses Honghton, Reynolds, Franklyn, Johnson, Runciman (2), Young, and Doran. No. 2 Stall : Mrs E. B. Walker, with Mesdamen Booth, Nixon, Mignott, Hughes and Cadvvorth, Misses Norris, Walker, and Short. No. 3 Stall : Mexdames G. E. Clarke and Bull, with Mesdatnes Mclntoah, Garland, Wright, and Taylor, Misses Purchon and Alfred. No. 4 Stail : Mrs Gare and Miss Caley with Misses Gane, Fleming, A. T. and S. Caley. Refreshment Stall : Mis? Brown, with MWames Culpan, Hall, and Riplev, and Miss Kinguoii. Post-oftice : Mrs Goodfellow and Mrs Youncr, with Messrs. Rliodes and Stubbs. Galvanic Batteries : No. 1, Mr Benn, No. 2, Messrs JR. and F. Houghton. Scales : Mr J. Bridgeman. Messrs R. Stubbing and H. Whitehouse had charge of the decorations Mr J. Gane, acted as honorary treasurer, Mr John Hou&hton and Miss Alford were the honorary secretaries. The Refreshment Coinmiftco was composed of Messis James Johnstone, D. Caleb, Hanson, and Bridgeman. Messrs Fleming and Mignott presided at the piano in an exceedingly fascinating manuer, and the C imbridge n'nd Wiiikato Reed Band attended on Thursday evening ■ taking up a positiou on the stage and dis- { coursed some excellent music. We under- | stand that the financial outcome of the I Bazaar is highly satisfactory, and will very nearly, if not quite extinguish existing liabilities.
