BUGGY ACCIDENTS.

No less than three buggy accidents happened on Tuesday. In the morning a man named Tristram was proceeding along the Cambridge Road with a heavy load of provinions, &o , for Messrs Coleman's Camp, and when at the foot of Seddon's Hill the' fore axle ' broke, dropping the vehicle to the ground. The goods were removed and the buggy drawn to the side of the road. Almost immediately afterwards a pair horse bucrgy, containing Mr F. A. Whitaker and^Mr D. M. Beere, drove up on the way to Cambridge. One of the horses became frightened at the disabled buggy and shied, turning round, jumping on the pole, breaking it, and then running the second buggy almost on top of the first. Fortunately neither of the occupants was hurt, the worst result being that their progress was interfered with, as they had to return to Hamilton. — In the afternoon a spring-waggon, the property of Mr Lake, of Ohaupo, and drawn by two horses, was standing opposite Mr K. Hill's store, when the animals becoming restive, or being frightened at something, bolted down Victoria-street, clown Tisdall-street, not stopping until near Mr Calderwood's residence, and then only by the waggon capsizing. The pole was broken, the wheels injured, and other damages done, but the horses escaped. It seemed as if accidents were contagious on Tuesday.
