LAST NIGHT'S NEWS. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
Auckland, Last Night. Wellington telegrams report oi natives fencing to-day, half the, number were men and half boys, Mavu, a Waitara chief was among the fencers. They desisted as usual. Government have received informa 4 ion from Grant and Foster, that they have appointed agents in New Zealand, presumably with a view of commencing settlement in the colony.
