KIRIKIRIROA HIGHWAY BOARD.
Thk- usual monthly meeting 1 of the Kirikiriroa Highway Board, was held yesterday at the Royal Hote, Hamilton. AH the members of the Board were present. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed the correspondence inwards was read by the Secretary. comprising lettcis and telegrams front Mr Benzon in reference to the Narrows road stoppings <Sro., that have been carried out during the List few months by the Board, the general pui*port of which was to the effect that tho provisions of the Public Works Act had been complied with. This will enable the Board to sell and otherwise exchange the land so acquired. A letter from the Manager of the Piako Land Association in reference to the removing a bridge over the Mangawhara Creek, the Board agreed to pay t£2s towards the approaches in addition to the £•50 already promised towards shifting the bridge, on the understanding 1 that this road be legalized and made accessible for traffic irom the Hamilton- Taupiri road to tho Tanbei road. * In reply to Mr Cluthi's application for repairs to a bridge on a by road leading to a portion pf the Piako Association was ordered to be referred to the manager, Mr Beynolds, asking wliat proportion of the cost the company would be prepared to contribute. Mi 1 Coates very comidaratoly placed a horse and dray at the disposal of the Board for the nse of thd surfacemen in gravelling portion of the of the road lateiy ionned by Messrs Livingstone and Booth, on the Hamiiaort-Tavpjri road.
