THE Cambridge Railway. [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.] (OWN CORRESPONDENT .)
Cambridge, Last Night. There is great excitement throughout the township at the action of Sir George Grey and party in stonewalling. A telegram received this afternoon from Mr J, B. Whyte states :— " Grey, Speight, and others tell me plainly that they will do their utmost against our Bill, if it comes on to-night, and we shall see Thames people wiring to many members against it. Southerli members are angry at the land fund being colonised, railways stopped, etc. lam doing my level best, and am still hopeful. If Grey wires repeat. Telegrams have been despatched on all sides urging members to do their utmost to pass the Bill. "
