WASTE LANDS BOARDS. Mr Shoehan gave notice that ho would ask the Government if it was their intention to bring down next session a bill to abolish Waste Lands Boards.
CATTLE PROCLAMATION VALIDATION BILL. Mr Hall moved the second reading of the Diseased Cattle Proclamation Validation Bill. Carried.
THE LICENSING BILL. On the motion of Mr Dick, the Licensing Bill was discharged. The following votes were passed : — Class 12, Contingent Defence, £140,000, passed without dissent. Class 8, Telegraph extension, £43,577 10a, passed without dissent. Immigration, £26,984 13s 4d, was reduced by £1000. Class 7, Waterworks and Goldfields, £26,719, passed. Class 8, miscellaneous puhlic works, £129,178 9s 9d On the motion, that it be reduced £2000, the House divided: ayes, 9; noes, 21. Passed as printed. Class 10, lighthouses, £4,550, passed. Class 12, charges and expenses on raising loans, £189,430 19s 9d, passed without dissent. Class 9, public buildings vote (judicial), £6,329, passed as piinted. Postal aud telegraphic, £11,025. Mr Hall agreed to reduce the amount £5,550 ; agreed to. Customs, £900, passed. Lunatic Asylums, £55,500, pissed. Hospitals, £1000, passed. School buildings, £206,031 17s lOd, passed.
YESTERDAY MORNING'S SITTING. The Racing Club Bill has been thrown, out. The Law Practitioners Acfc Amendment and Caversham Borough. Incorporation Bills has passed all .stages.
