Tub Board of Education have received warning from Government of reducing grants to committees, and a deduction of 10 per cent, of all salaries in the public service. The Board resolved to warn committees to be economical. The Board also resolved to proclaim Churchill, near Rangiriri, a school district. The Ohinemutu police are prosecuting inquiries re wholesale supply of liquor to natives. They find that a Tauranga man supplied them with 15 gallons of rum, and an Auckland man with 10 gallons of rum and 30 gallons of beer.
