The following are the recommendations of the Railway Commission re Waikato matters :— The Hamilton to Te Aroha line is recommended only to Morrinsville ; the remaining portion to Te Aroha may stand over for two or three years. Hamilton to Cambridge : They say the country between those townships has long been settled, and there is a considerable resident population ; there is also a large extent of back country to support a railway, which is recommended for construction. Grahamstown to Te Aroba line is not recommended.
