Hautapu. 23rd June, 1880. Land in the Cambridge Highway Distriot, not required for public use, authorised to bo sold. HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House, at Wellington, this Thirteenth day of July, 1880. President: His Excellency the Governor ix Council. Whereas by section twenty-nine of '•The Public Works Act, 1876" (herein referred to as " the said Act"), it is enacted that, if it is found that any land taken under the Act is not required for public use, the Governor in ay, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein set forth : And whereas by the ninety-fourth section of the said Act it is enacted that the laud occupied by any road stopped as provided by the said Act shall be dealt with as provided by the twenty -ninth aud following sections of the said Act in the ca.^e of lands not required for public use : And whereas the roads, the land occupied by which is described in the Schedule hereto, have beon stopped under the authority of the said Act : And whereas the Highway Board of the Cambridge Highway District has laid before the Governor the memorial referred to in the twenty -ninth section of the said Act, praying the Governor, by an Order in Council, to cause such laud to be sold : Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zen land, by and with the advice aud consent of the Executive Council of*the said Colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities afoiesaid, do hereby order and authorise the land desciibed in the Schedule hereto to be sold and [dealt with in the mnuuer aud subject to the conditions of the twenty-ninth and following sections of the said Act. SCHEDULE. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 10 acres 3 roods 37 perches, more or less, situated in the Parish of Tamahere, in the Survey District of Hamilton, Provincial District of Auckland ; commencing at a point on the Waikato River distant 440 links or thereabouts from the north- westernmost comer of Allotment No. 3. Bounded— Gene, rally Northerly by lines, 130, 296, 437, 468, 989, 5754, 268, 1707, and 843 links respectively; North-easterly by public road, ISS links ; generally Southerly by lines, 981, 1673, 288, 5770, 975, 467, 414, 302, and 185 links respectively ; generally Westerly by the Waikato River to commencing point, 101 links or thereabouts : be the aforesaid linkages more or less ; and the same being more particularly delineated upon the map attached to the memorial above referred to.
