Afghanistan. Calcutta, July 22.
News has been received from Cabul that, acting under the advice of the Indian Government, a number of the moat prominent adherents of Yakoob Khan have consented to accept Abdurrahman as Ameer of Afghanistan. A durbar wa< held at Kandahar today, at which it was announced that the British Government would recogoise the Ameership of Abdurrahman.
