LAST NIGHT'S NEWS. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.) (OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Cambridge, Last Night. Closing of Land Court.

The Land Court concluded its sittings to-day, leaving the Te Whiti and Kurauui blocks unfinished, the surveys of the subdivisions being incomplete : they have been adjourned to a future sitting of the Court. A large number of natives have already left Cambridge.

Mr Sheehan left for Wellington. Mr Sheehan, M.H.R., left Cambridge to-night, en route for Wellington. His departure was witnessed by a large crowd of Maoris, who were very enthusiastic.

Supreme Court. Auckland, Last Night. A third jury sat on the Whangarei shooting case, and returned a verdict of "Not, Guilty."

Found Dead. William Mellow, for many years in the Survey Department, was found dead in a closet in Shoitland -street to-day. He has several sons and daughters living in Waikato. Dr Kenderdme pronounced death to be the result of heart duaase.
