THE PROPERTY ASSESSMENT ACT, 1879.

Extension of Time for Sending in Statement.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the time for sending* in the Statement of Property required by the above Act — as fixed for the 30th day of June, 1880 — has now been extended to the 2nd day of August, 1880. JOHN SPERRY, Commissioner Property Tax Department. Wellington, 25th June, 1880.

WAITOA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

rTIHE Annual Meeting of the ratepayers X of the above-named district will be held in the Nottingham Castle Hotel, Piako, on Saturday, the 17th day of July, 1880, at 1 o'clock p.m. Business : To receive the annual report and balance sheet of the out-going Board, elect new Board, Auditors, and Fence- Viewers ; and also to consider the question of dividing the present Highway District and bringing the Dog-Nuisance Act into force. THE Pukekura District Board, hereby give notice that it is their intention to STOP a portion of the public road on the Western boundary of sections 303 and 305 Parish of Te Rapa and to open in lieu thereof a road through the above sections. To stop the road on the western boundary of sections 51, 52, 53, and 54 Parish of Pukekura and to open in lieu thereof a road on the eastern boundary of the above sections. To Stop the road between sections 122, 123,128,127,124 Parish of Pukekura, and to open in lieu thereof a road through section 126, Parish of Pukekura. To stop the road between sections 165 & 166 and the road between sections 193, 1 94, 205, and 206, Parish of Pnkekura, and to open in lieu thereof a road through sections 151, 171, 192, and 205, Parish of Pukekura. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement, 7 acres and 22 perches more or less being portion of sections 51, 52, 63, and 54, Parish of Pukekura. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 12 perches more or less, being portion of section 126, Parish of Pukekura. And all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11 acres, 1 rood and 4 perches more or less, being portion of sections 151, 171, and-192, Parish of Pukekura. Plans of the proposed roads can be seen at the residence of Mr H. Fitzgerald, Pukerimu, and written objections to the taking of the land, or making the roads must be left with the Chairman of the District Board, within 40 days from this date.
