THE CATTLE RESTRICTIONS.
TO THE EDITOR. •Sir, — Will you oblige a subscriber by auswering the following questions ? (1). Are the cattle registered to run in the Cambridge Township supposed to be shut up at night? (2). Are these cattle allowed to ran on the public roads in the Highway District? (3). Does the law allow one that is injui'ed by these cattle to impound them off the public road? Several cows have been running past my place for th,e last day or two. While the town cattle were confined I kad no trouble to keep mine on my farm, 1-mt when there are cows on the road with tinkling bells my cattle rush at the fences and bi'eak through causing great annoyance. — lam &c, E Beer Kenningstock, near Cambridge, June 18th. [We sympathise with our correspondent and would recommend him to try the experiment of impounding a few of the cows with a view to ridding himself of the annoyance. The restrictions imposed on the Township cattle by the South Aucland Cattle Board have been removed under certain conditions which do not affect our correspondent's case. — Ed.]
