The following report and balance-sheet were read, bithof which were adopted, with much approval by the meeting :-- Repoit foi }i\u ending 31st M,i\, iSBo. W. L. C. Wiliivms, Chairman.

It will be clearly seen that great efforts have been made during the last jear to clear the hall from its liabilities, and should the new committee be rewarded with the same success the hall will stand well nigh unburdened of its debt at the end of the present financial year. Captain Runciman, Lieutenant Fisher, Messrs Brooks, Houghton, Thompson, Camp, Pearoon, Wiliams, and Keesing were elected the new committee. A vote of thanks to the retiring officers and Chairman ot present meeting was unanimously carried, when the above gentlemen went into committee. Mr Williams was re-elected chairman, and Mr Brooks and Mr Camp also re-elected treasurer and secretary respectively. Some discussion arose as to the practicability of lowering the rates of the hall, but ultimately it was decided that it could not be judiciously done. It was also proposed and carried— " That the Secretary receive 5 per cent, of the gross rental as a slight remuneration of various small incidental expenses and time silent."
