QUERY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Can you, or any of your numerous readers, inform me whether any person, er body of persons has a right to close a Public high road? If such right or authority exists I f-hould like to know it. If it does not exi^t those parties who have stopped the main road into Alexandra have acted illegally, and should be made 'to pay deadly forjthjeir, iii thus cutting 1 \ lexandra off from communication with the nvvjor portion of tho Waikato. —I am, &c.
