LAST NIGHT'S NEWS. THE LATEST.
AUCKLAND, Last Night. The s.s. Hinemoa, with members, leaves on Wednesday next, in order to enable members to arrive in time for the opening, which takes place on Friday next.
INVERCARGIL, Last Night Grey addresse 1500 electors on educational, taxation, and withdrawl of subsidies, &c. A vote of confidence was passed at the conclusiou of the address.
CAMBRBDGE, Last Night. The Waipawa Block. Commission commission commences to-morrow. The Court is at present occupied with deciding Mangakaretu claims. The R.M. Court, to-day, disposed of several criminal and a civil case. There was a whispered rumor this morning that the Ngatikawos were going to ransack the Court, but it proved groundless.
