TE AWAMUTU CAVALRY.
The shooting Avas, as a whole, much below the average, partly on account of the strong light and partly owing to the high wind which swept across the range. The top scorer, it will lie observed, was Lieutenant Johnson, but as the prize was intended for the encouragement of the young shots, he kindly handed it over to the second highest scorer. Theie is some doubt, however, whether Trooper Young wa& qiialified ; if not, the prize falls to Trooper Oochrane.
