ACCIDENT NEAR NGARUAWAHIA.
A young lad named James McGee, in tho employment of Messrs Carpenter and Byron, met with rather a severe accident on Saturday morning. It appears that while engaged in chopping some meat he accidentally brought the chopper down on his left hand, cutting off tha" top of the little finger, the top of the third finger being left hanging by a piece of skin, while tho second finger was cut to the bone. He was taken to Ngaruawahia by Mr Carpenter, where he was attended to by Dr Sandes, who dressed his hand, and expressed a hope of being able to save the third finger.
