Cambridge Yards, on Tuesday, the whole of which were affected with pleuro-pneu-monia. Afterwards, two animal* taken off the run were slaughtered by order of the .Board in Cambridge, and were similarly affected — one of them showing a very advanced stage of the disease.
OHAUPO, Yesterday. Yesterday, Inspector Runcim^n and Veterinary Surgeon Naden proceeded to Mr Burkes farm at Te Awamutu, caused three beasts to be slaughtered, two of which were in a very advanced stage of pleuro, the other affected to a lesser extent. There are several other beasts on the farm, which we hear should have been destroyed, and we trust tha,t in the face of the rapid spread of the disease no quarter will be given to any body whatever. A number of settlers were present at the post mortem examination, and evinced naturally great interest in the proceedings.
