AUCKLAND, Yesterday. Captain Steele interviewed the At-torney-General, and represented to him the importance to Waikato of meeting the wishes of the Lincolnshire delegates regarding the * roha lands. The Hon. Mr Whitaker said he was himself strongly favorahle to doing everything possible to ensure the influx of such desirable 6ettlers. It is probable that the Government will overcome the difficulty in the way of the settlement.
