Yesterday there were provided for the amusement of the visitors, a carbine contest, a oricket match, and a race meeting, the latter being confined to the troop horses. The former resulted in a victory tor the Thames of 169 points, and iv the second the Thames men were the victors by three runs. In racing, of course the Cavalry carried off the honors, the large proportion falling to the Cambridge troop. In the evening the visitors were entertained at a citizens' ball. Throughout the visit the Waikato people have thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and are loud in their expressions of gratitude for the many and great kindnesses which the Thames people have extended to them. The Cavalry left for home this morning.
