THE LATE ASSAULT CASE. At the Resident Magistrate's Court here to-day, the case of Conn v. Kelly for alleged serious assault, the defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined £3 and costs— 4 guineas.

DESTRUCTIVE BUSH FIEE. On Wednesday last a bush fire took place at Kikurangi, destroying the principel part of the growing crops.
