Tte cjrrespoulenoe to be considered was: — A letter from *Tr Grierson, requesting to be allowed to erect swing-gites across his boundary road, which was granted; and a so requesting to have a road stopped. Thii mater was allowed to utand over. \. letter from the County Council, covering a copy of letter from the Tuhikar%mea District Board, applying- for an alteration to boundary, to which the ■ ecretary was directed to reply in a similar m inner as to the Government. < deputation was received from the Tubikaramea District Board upon tho same matter. The Mangapino Trustees, deeming it would be taking too much upon themselves to accede to the request, advised an application to the ratepayers at the i ext annual meeting, and agreed to a further request for the erection of a new bridge near Mr Buttles residence, in conjunotion with the Tuhikaramea district. The Seoretary was directed to ascertain from the District Engineer if it is intended to erect cattle yards at Te Awamutu station. The only work tendered for was some pipe culverts at Te Rore, for which Mr Dillons tender was accepted. The following payments were authorised : — Coulthard Bros., £i 10s 8d ; Jas. Conn, £2 4s; W. Chester, £7 17 8 ; G-. Boyd, £9 16s; Meredith, £19 9s; Nabbs and DdTidson, £12 19s ; H. Kelly, £1 2s ; J. age, £14l)dl0d; C Palmer, £17 ss; Waikdto Steam Navigation Company, £3 6s; J. Gibson, £6 5s 6d; Alexander and Hughes, £41 2s 6d. The works aathorised were .'—Ploughing and levelling the unformed portions o£ the Paterangi road up to the station ; repairing the approaches to the horse bridge near Te wamutu, and the Mangapiko bridge near Alexandra.; also, a culverfc near Messrs Goodfellow's. It was resolved to call a special meet, ing, if found necessary, to consider the matter of stopping certain roads<which have been applied for ; and in the ihierinx the Trustees to gather all information possible as to the after disposal of them to tho adjoining land owners. The Secretary was instructed to send for the necessary pipes for culverts. After a lengthened discusoion upon the working of the rtating Act in the matter of the assessment, the meeting terminated at a late hour.
