JUSTICE IN WAIKATO.

TO THE EDITOB. Sir, — I was rather astonished to-day at the way justice (?) was meted out in some cases that were heard before cur R.M., for furious riding. One person being fined 30s and costs for trying to stop a lady's horse that had bolted, and another person who had allowed his horse to run away with a cart, to the danger of every person, more especially small children crossing the bridge, was only fired 10s — this not being the first offence of the latter individual. If this is law, I imagine Justice is locked up in the building at the rear of thb Courthouse. — I am, &c, M.M.
