POLICE COURT, HAMILTON. Yesterday. — (Before E. M. Edgeumbe, Esq., J.P.)
DKTXNExxxEbS. — William Kinnison was charged \\ith being drunk in a public place in East Hamilton on Saturday la^t. Prisoner stated that he en me down from Olnuipo on Saturday and had intended to leave by yesterday's mid-day train. It would beem that the prisoner was well known to the police. On tbe 10th of October 1873 he was convicted at the Supreme Court Auckland of Manslaughter for which he received a sentanre of fcix years penal servitude. On being discharged from gaol about a year ago he worked his "nay to Hamilton and thence to Cambridge, where he was brought before J)r Waddington and sentenced to six month-, imprisonment for theft. Again on being discharged be returned to VTaikato and hag been working up at Te Awamutu till he came down to H miilton last week, and got into trouble. Hib Worship expressed a hope that the police would keep an eye on prisoner if he did not go away a» promised, and fined him sc. and 'Is. rostb, or in default, 2i hours imprisonment.
