NGARUAWAHIA ANNUAL RACES [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
A meeting was held at the Royal Mail Hotel last Monday evening to elect committee and fix date of meeting. Mr T. Y. Fitzpatrick was voted to the chair. tt f fcer some discussion it was decided to hold the annual race meeting 1 on April Ist, so as not to clash with the Piako Raoes. It was also decided that the races should be run on the old oourse. The following 1 gentlemen were then appointed a Committee to collect subscriptions, draw up a programme, and elect (stewards and officers from their number : —Messrs T. Y. Fitzpatrick, E. R. Laing, Dickeson, L. B. Harris, Keesing, Kenneth Morrison, H. Brennan, R. H. Hunt, H. Hunt, Edmund Fitzpatrick. Mr T. Y. Fitzpatriois was also appointed Secretary, and it was decided that the Committee should meet on Thursday (this evening), at 8 o'clock.
