TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SUNDAY SCHOOL, CAMBRIDGE.
The scholars assembled in the abore church at 10 o'clock on Thursday morning, and after a short service were take* in several vehicles, kindly provided by friends, to the- farm of Mr Hugh Fergusson, where tents, swings, &c, were found in readiness for contributing to their enjoyment. At mid-day, the ohildren, in number 130, w«re regaled with sandwiches, pies and gingerbeer, and fruit, under the shade of a fine row of trees ; and after lunch, betook themselves to the fields for cricket, running, swinging, and other merry games. In due time they were again sat down, for tea, to -which ample justice was done. During the afternoon a large number of friend* visited the field, and expressed great pleasure in witnessing the enjoyment of the little folks. After the children were again assembled and a hymn had been sung, and three ringing cheers had been given for the teachers of the school, who had carried out the treat, the young folks returned to Cambridge, having 1 enjoyed a most pleasant day.
