Sib, — I herewith forward you for publication, for the information of the Hamilton contingent and the public generally, the subjoiued kindly and sympathetic letter which I have received from Captain Runciman, on behalf of the Cambridge Troop of Cavalry Volunteers. —I am, &c, F. Sik, — At a meeting of the Cambridge Ca\alry Volunteers, held on Saturdaj, the 24th instant, I was requested to express our sympathy with your troop in the sudden and melancholy loss \our troop h.is sustained in the death of Sergt.-Maior Peter Walker, a gentleman who alwajs took a \ery warm and enthusiastic interest in all matters pertaining to the welfare and efficiency of your troop and the Ca\alry generally.— I have the honor to bo, Sir, your obedient sonant, J.VMLS RI'MIMW, Captain C.C.V.
