At the Haymarket, on 4Friday last, fodder brought from 2s 9d to 4s 3d the cwt.; damaged brau t Is 6d the sack; oats, 2s 4d and 2s Gd; maize, 3s 9d the bushel. Inferior horses, from £3 to £5; medium draught, £26; riding horses, from £9 to £18 each. Those advertised from Poverty Uay did not arrive in time for the sale. Tho Hereford bull brought £3<>, and the Shorthorn heifers £120, £78 15s and £63 respectively. At the hide and akin, sale, on Tuesday, hides were slightly better worth. Sound hides brought from 3^d to '4d the lb.; calfskins, 3d; good tallow, 275; slush, 16s Gdthecwt.; lambskins, lOd; sheepskins, from Is 8d to 2s lOd each. Wool maintained its advance price. Wool in grease brought from Ud to 8d; washed, B{d to 10$ d the lb. The yards at Drury were fairly filled with btore cattle, and there was a good demand throughout. Cows brought from £6 10s to £9; two to three-year-old steers, £5 to £6 los; yearlings, £3 5s to £4; calves, 378 6d to £3; hoggets, 10s; ewes, 7s 3d to 9s each. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were at late values; those sold varied from £8 to £9 10s each. Store cattle were in good inquiry; fat cattle in good numbers—l7o head yarded; last week's prices barely sustained, prices ranged from 22s to 27s the lOOlbs. for good average quality, 258 was the ruling price. Fat sheep of good quality were in full supply; prices steady at 2d the lb. for best quality. .Lambs, numerous, but ia low condition, and sold at from 4s to 8s each.
