TE AWAMUTU VOLUNTEER CAVALRY.

HAMILTON CONTINGENT. The following is an account of the evolutions in rapidity firing and heads and rings practice gone through by the Hamilton contingent in their late halfyearly drill, and which would have been published earlier, but that the list had been mislaid.

There were inly two troopers (Pascoe and Murdoch) who failed to do it within the time.

'Ihe firing was very good, considering the number of recruits who had never used a carbine before.
