Alexandra too celebrates the day with athletic sports, commencing, at 10 o'clock m. the morning. There is a long and varied programme, which will be found m full m another column, and from tho naine3 of the stewards and other officers appointed to parry out the day's sports, we may look for a very successful meeting. Hamilton East, as usual, keeps up its annual sports on Boxing Day, commencing at 11 o'clock, enlivened as heretofore by the usual trotting match, which is always looked forward to with interest, as some very excellent trotting horses are generally found amongst the entries.
