NEW REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
The subdivision of the distrio's ftr the purpi»3B of registration whioh has been recently made and gazette*., will afford considerable conveniens lo t*>e inhabitants of Cambridge, who heretofore have had to'- travel to Hamilton to register a birth, ilea th. or inan-i »ge. A labourer living vi Matamata ior instance would lose h couple of dajs m performing this duty, where now he can travel to Cambridge and back m theone d->y. The Waikato is now divided into three districts, the boundaries of which we give below from Hip 'Gazette' ot the 11th September last. The appointment of Hegstru* for tbe newly formed Cam irid^e district has been conferred to on Walter Scoti, E*^., while that of Te Awamutu has 'leen given to John. R. Rochf, fcCsq. HAMILT.N DISTSICPT. Bounded on the North by a straight linefrom Putakauere on the Waikato River, m the direction of the summit of To Aroha Mountain,'to the intersection by said line of the western boundary of Te -troha Block; thence by the western and northern boundary of Te Aroha Block to its intersection by a line drawn from the summit of Te roha to Whangamata South dead ; thence southe ly hy such line to Te roha ; thence by the Tauranga confiscated line to the southern boundary of Te Aroha Block; thense by -the southern bounda ies of Te roha, Hungahunga No. 2, • : rongomairoa, and Waihekau Blocks to the intersection by a straight line drawn from the summit of Te roha to Pukemoremore ; thence by that line and by the southern boundary ,of the Pariah of Tamahere to the Waikato iver ; thence by the said river to the southe n boundary of the Parish' of Te Ra a; thence by the southern boundary lines of the arishes of Te Ra^a arid Tuhikaramea to the «Vaipa *iver ; thence by the said river to the southern boundary of the Parish of Karamu, and .by said boundary to the summit of tbe Te Rehi Range, where the native track crossts said range ; thence by a line to the summit of the Tera anges, and by the watershed of the said era and • • akarimata Manges to the northermost end; ♦•hence by a st aight line to the Mouthern shore of a angape < ake ; thence by the shore of the lake to the north-east angle of Allotment .xo. 32 of the Parish of Wangape ; thence by a straight line to the Waikato uiver at Putakauere, the point of commencement. • OAJEBBEDOE DISTRICT. , Pounded on the north-west by the Hamilton Registration District hereinbefore desoribed ; thence towards the east by the Tauranga confiscated bounda y to Poutihi ; thence by. a straight line to Te Whetu native settlement ; thence by a straight line to the Waikato River at Ateamuri,; thence towards the south and west by the said river to the mouth of, the little Waipa River; thence by a straight line to the summit of Alaungatautari ; thence by a straight line to the south end of the line forming tho boundary between the Parishes of Puniu and Pukekura; thence by tho western boundory of the Parish of Pukekura. to the Hamilton j Registration District. Kauri Creek; thence by a straight line to the summit oi Pi ongia ; thence by the weste n boundary of the Parish of Pirongia to Te Rehi on the southern boundary of Hamil ton ttegistration District.
