TAMAHERE HIGHWAY BOARD.
» Till* usual monthly meeting of Ihe above Board was held at the Roya! Hotel, Hamilton East, on Wednesday lust, the Bth instant Present : Messrs. H. Reynolds* (chairman), J. A. Douglas, and Chis. C. Wood. Tbe minutes and correspondence having been read, one email account was passed and paid. An account from Mr S. Hall, Cambridge, for 18 days' labour was deferred for explanation. A. Jotter was reau from Mr Francis Browning complaining that he was " nmbleto get to his land on Whyte's block, ihe road being impassable. The Secretary was instructed to in form hiin that the Board sympathised with hio3, but regrot that they have uo funds at their disposal to carry out the -work. The Collector was instructed to obtain payment of the rates with as little delay as po-sible, and to request the chairoan of the Cambridge district to rem jt £50. being a third of tbe amount received from Government towards the cost of the Victoria Road.
