Sir, —May we be allowed, through the medium of your valuable paper (so that all interested may know), to ask why the gradient that was agreed upon for the bridge approaches is not being earned out on thid (West) side. It was we believe, generally understood that .the slope was to commence from Mr Moses' shop, or from the Bank corner, instead of which, it appears, the gradient does not begin until very near the Church.
