NATIVE OFFICE RETURNS.
(Per Electric* Telegraph, from Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, last night. The expenditure for native purposes, for the year ending Jane 3rd, amounted to about .£9,500, of this sum £3,800 7s 3d was snenfc in pensions, £2,171 8s 9d in food and clothing, £099 18s Gd on medical attendance and mediciue, £1,440 Is 4d on gratuities and contributions. The salary of the Native Minister is nil, Mr Sheehan drawing his salary as Minister for Justice, .£1,250, though most of his time is occupied in native affairs.
