CAMBRIDGE.

Fbiday. Cambridge is very full of amusements and entertainments at present.. These ehergeti&^aterers for the public m their line, Messrs. Hogarth, O'Brien and Herbert, besides their wax works, which daily draw ci'owds of novices, have engaged dramatic and acrobatic talent from Auckland. After treating us •to three nights of the Taylor Comedy Company, they have brought up Mr Whitesides, a really dariag and graceful performer on the horizontal bar, Roman rings, and single nnd double trapeze. Nigger songs and dances go to fill up the evening, and a laughable farce brings the, performance j to a close ; after which dancing begins, and is entered into with great glee and enjoyment by the Maoris especially, many of whom dance the pakeha dances well and gracefully. Mr Barfield is having an American Bowling Saloon erected m Duke -street, which will doubtless be well patronisd. The Cambridge Amateur Dramatic Club intend giving another of their first-class performances on Thursday, the 24th instant, and judging from the former enthusiastic reception accorded to them, they will, without doubt, draw a full and fashionable house. The proceeds of the entertainment are to be handed over for the benefit of the Public Hall funds. — Correspondent.
