CAMBRIDGE.

Monday, June 9. The Native Lands Court is still considering the claims made to the three blocks that have been before the Court for the past week. The Ngatiraukawa are trying to establish their claims, but there doe D not seem any probability of their being entertained. In that case they will most likely go away /leaving only the Ngatihauas and Ngatiraus m the settlement. The Whanganuis have already left. There seems to be no likelihood of the Cavalry going to Auckland to receive the Governor. . Indeed, probably the Government are averse to sending such a body of men away from the frontier if even only for a few days, m the present state of native affairs. If the Waikato Cavalry Volunteers are anxious to give a review m honor of the Governor, it would be a good thing to get up a race meeting at the course of the Cambridge Jockey Club, and to get the Governor to come to open it formally and give it his patronage, and at the same time let there be a gra'jd review of Cavalry Volunteers. The members of the Cambridge Jockey Club would do well to consider the matter.— Own CobbesPONDENT.
