HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The following notices of motion were given by Cr. Potter, at the last sitting of the Council, and Will come on for decission at its meeting on Monday morning next : — 1. That all specifications, contracts, and conditions relating thereto, for work, labour or material, either separately or collectively, shall be submitted to the joint "Works' Committee, for their approval and sanction, previous to tenders being invicted for the same. 2. That a committee, consisting of the Mayor and Councillors Hume, Gwynne, Dawson and the mover, be appointed a Land Reserves Committee, with power to employ a surveyor, and survey and lay out such reserves as may be deemed necessary, m convenient allotments, and report to this Council thereon as soon as practicable, and that Mr T. Sandes be requested to undertake the duties of survey, and provide diagrams of such lands.
