CAMBRIDGE ATHLETIC CLUB.

A Meeting of Members the Club was held ar, the National Hotel, Cambridge, on Wednesday last, There was a, fair attendance of members. Mr H. Keosing was voted to the chair, in the absence of the President. A resolution was passed, requesting tho starter to resign. The following rule was then adopted: — "That any competitor making 1 false starts, shall be put back one yard for each. \A.ny competitor making three false starts, be disqualified >for the raoe, at the option of the Committee. Another rule was adopted : " Tbat for tho meeting to be held, in November, they advertise that successful competitors be allowed to take their prizes in money or trophies," .A sum of £5 was voted to defray tho expenses of the Gymnasium, which, with the kind consent of the Officer Commanding, the district, it is intended to hold in the Barrack Gymnasium building. An extra fee of os will 1 be charged to Members of the Club. Eleven members immediately joined. ' Tho settling up then took place, with the following result : — \, . Jones, £7 ;W. C. Ring, £5; Alex. MoKinnon, £5 and Cup ; Jas. MoNeish, ,-66 ss ; Tom. Gerrans, £6; John McKinnon, £2 sf; George MoCann, 10s ; Jas • Fergusson, 10s; H. Keesing, 431. Boys: Harry Camp, £1 ; Norgrove, 10s ; Rose, 10s. Various other small sums, making a total of £45. The whole expenses will amount to a little over £50. When all subscriptions are paid in, the Olub will have a balance to its credit of between '£2o and £30. There belong to the Club, 75 full members and nine honorary. All were satisfied with tho result. A. oordifj.l vote of thanks was passed to Mr Camp, fjr his valnable servicos in getting up tho meeting. The onus of the work was done by him, and his successful labours on behalf of the Club were highly appreciated. With the usual vote of thaulss to tho Chairman, the meeting dispersed. CORRESPONDENT.
