■[By Electric Telegraph] At the moeting held this afternoon, lo consider the advisability of forming the Cambridge township* into a borough, Mr Wells, chair-, man of the Boar 1 occupied the chair, and introduced the subject to the meeting. Mr C.iuipbell, moved, " Tbat this meeting resolved to] petition His Excellency the Governor to form the townships of Quiulmd(gß tat aod
West into a borough an ler the Municipal Corporations Act, 1876, the boundaries of such borough to oe the outer line of the present town belts and that the town board be requested to prepare a petition l0 5,f l S Qatttre ™d otherwise comply with the requirements of the said Act to give effect to this resolution." Mr Jsmes Haliy seconded. M , 1 ' hb moved ' as an amendment, "That Cambridge East only be tormed into a borough." Mr Camp seconded, and said, he would vote against ifc. After farther discussion, the amendment was put, an d onlv one hand was held up for ifc. Mr Campbell's motion was then put and twenty three hands were held up for it, and six against it. It was declared carried. Over fortv ratepayers were present.'
