CETEWAYO'S PEACE PROPOSALS.

HOUSE OF COMMONS EASTER RECESS
LONDON, April 7. . The Secretary of State for the Colonies m reply to a question, said the sincerity of Cetewayo m making peace proposals is doubtful. A complete submission alone would satisfy the British Government. Colonel Pearson has made a road, shortening: the distance to Ekowe by three miles, The House of Commons has adjourned for the Easter recess.
