STEAM COMMUNICATION BETWEEN BRISBANE AND AUCKLAND. SYDNEY, March 10. The working men are clamorous for the prohibition of Chinese. The Governor sails on Saturday for New Zealand. A large meeting of citizens have adopted an address to the Governor. Brisbane desires steam communication with Auckland. Arrived : The s.s. Hero and Tararua. SYDNEY, March 11. The Governor embarked on board the Emerald for New Zealand on the 18 th. Last night, ab 8 o'clock, bhe steamer Barabool, from Newc_9tle to Sydney, collided with the steamer Bonnie Dundee. The latter crossed the Barabool's bows diagonally, and sunk in three minutes. The Barabool's boats were promptly lowered, bub six lives were losb, four being female passengers The Bonnie Dundee was fully insured. j The ladies' stewardess and the cabbin-boy were lost by the collision
