THE PUNIU SCHOOL.
Sir,—l pee t>y the report of the meeting of the Education Board, held in Auckland last week, and also by a recent issue of the Waikato Times, that £lO is granted t© paint the Puniu School. As myself and neighbours here have never before heard of a school to named in the district, nor have we ever heard of the Puniu School Committee, may I ask you, through the medium of your interesting paper, ■where, in the Waikato, is this blessed school situated ? By the way, a strange rumor is moving here, on the waves of the wind. It is this, that a former schoolmaster, who has been removed to a school near Cambridge, has introduced the practice, during school hours, of the singing of Moodey and Sankey's Hymns.—l am, &c, Puniu. Awamutu, Feb. 24,1879.
