PRESENTATION TO MR ADAM BAR 'LAY.

On Friday evening last, Mr H. Newell, on behalf of the members and adherents of the Presbyterian Church at Ngaruawahia, presented Mr Adam Barclay with a pucso of sovereigns iv recognition of his valuable services m conducting Divine Worship every Sunday for the last two years, and often at considerable personal inconvenience. Mr Newell, m making the presentation, passed a well-merited eiiloginm on Mr Barclay's able and much-appreciated ministrations, and hoped that he would long be spared to labor m so good a cause. Mr Barclay, m replying, thanked tho congregation for the presentation, and expressed the gratification it afforded him to know that his labors were appreciated to such an extent. He referred to the responsibility trader which he felt himself, m being looked upon as an instructor aud guide m things pertaining to the eternal welfai'o of those who, Sunday after Sunday, were patient listeners to his expoundings of the truths contained m God's blessed word, however imperfectly performed, but hoped he might be a humble instrument, employed by the Almighty, m the saving of souls.
