CAMBRIDGE WEST SCHOOL DISTRICT.

A meeting of householders of the above district was held, at tho residence of Mr Moisley, on Monday evening. Twelve householdora were present. Mr Win. Howie was voted to the chair. The Chairman having opened the meeting, explained tho mode of election procedings, and the following wore nominated:— Messrs Francis Hicks, Wm. Howie, Hart Hicks, John Bell, Tobias W. Hicks, Hugh Fitzgerald, George Bailey, D. McKinuon, Jas Keoly, Jas. Hicks, and Wm. Tuokor. On a ballot being taken, the following seven were declared duly elected, namely: Messrs Francis Hicks, Hugh Fitzgerald, Win. Hewie, John Bell, Win. Tucker, Hart Hicks, and Donald McKinuon, A vote of thanks to tho Chairman closed the meeting.

At a subsequent meeting of tho Committee, Mr W. Howio was voted to the chair, and .it Avas resolved that Mr Francis Hicks bo Permanent Chairman, and Mr Hugh Fitzgerald bo Secretary and Treasurer.

The Secretary was requested to Gend for a tracing of the School District, in lieu of. the sent by tlie, B.oard, aucl

mislaid. It was reiolvod that the Bank of New Zealand, Cambridge, bo the Bank of tho School District, and future meetings be hold at Mr McKinnon'a houee. The meeting then adjourned.
