CAMBRIDGE ATHLETIC SPORTS.

These sports were held m Mr Sharp's paddocks on Thursday last. Tlie day was fair, though the heat of the sun was lessened by a hw threatening clouds, and a shower fell about 3 p in. There was a large number of spectators on the ground, a by no means small minority of whom wen; of the fair sex. The running was very good, and, although there were not many competitors m any of the events, except the boys, tli« competition was keen and the handicapping satisfactory, except iv the walking match, m which McCann and LarUins got 100 yards start of Mackintosh.
