THE WAR EXPENSES TO BE CHARGED TO INDIA.
LONDON, Dec. 5 (evening). In. the House of Commons, the Under-Secretary for India gave notice of a resolution that the expenses of the war were to be charged to the Indian Exchequer. COMMERCIAL. Consols, 94g, ex dividend. Rates of discount are unchanged. Adelaide wheat, 50 to 51 ; Spar, unchanged; 5 per cent, debentures, 99. Since the opening of the wool sales, 108,000 bales have been catalogued. Bidding, firmer. The market is steady.
