R. H. D. Ferguason, James Henry, Robt Kirkwood, Wm. L. Martyn, YV'm Steele, Peter Walker, and J. B. Whyte. Captain Steele was unanimously elected Chairman for the ensuing year. Tho Returning Officer's account, for the expense incurred m connection with the election, was passed and ordered to be paid.
Future monthly meetings were agreed to bo held on the Friday on or before the full moon, at 11.30 a.m.
'A communication from the Narrows Bridge Committee was ordered to be referred to the Cambridge and other Highway Boards interested. Councillors Steele, Whyte and Walker were authorised to sign cheques, m conjunction with the Treasurer. Cr. Henry was authorised to expend sums not exceeding £5, m road repairs m the Rangiriri Riding. Crs. Steele and Whyte were named as a committee to arrange for the removal and improvement of the Council Chamber. Mr Robert Muir was the successful tenderer for the whole of the road work at Rangiriri Rangiriri Station Road: Fascines, £1 Is per 100 ; earthwork, ll.}d per yard. — Graham's Road : Earthwork, lO^d per yard; facines, £1 2s per 100; pipe-laying, per set, 14s ; bridge, £4 los.— The word "cleaning" was struck out, and the expenditure was ordered not to exceed £30. — No. 1 Section, Waerangi Road : Fascines, £1 on yer 100 ; earthwork, 10i£d per yard. — No. 2 Section, WaeraDgi Road : Faoines, £1 2s per 100 ; earthwork, 10^d per yard ; pipe-laying, per set,. 14s ; shifting culvert, £2. Cr. Kirkwood moved a vote ot thanks to the Chairman, which was seconded by Cr. Fergusson.
